Beryl and Sapphire is a Chinese donghua series based on the webcomic of the same name (Xiaolü He Xiaolan) by Ocarina. The first season aired in 2018 on Bilibili, and the second season (Beryl and Sapphire 2: Demon King Chapter) aired from July 12-September 20, 2023. The third season is set to air on September 27, 2023, and will be produced by Tencent Animation & Comics and Bilibili.
Season 2 Recap
In Season 2, Beryl, the Demon King, and Sapphire, the Head of the Knights’ Order, continue to fight each other day after day. However, as they get to know each other better, they start to clear up the misunderstandings between the opposing human and demon worlds.
Beryl and Sapphire also learn more about each other’s pasts and start to develop deeper feelings for each other. However, their relationship is complicated by the fact that they are supposed to be enemies.
Despite their differences, Beryl and Sapphire eventually realize that they have a common goal: to protect the world they both love. They decide to work together to defeat the forces of evil and create a better future for both humans and demons.
Beryl and Sapphire Season 3 Season 3 Expectations
Based on the synopsis, I expect Beryl and Sapphire Season 3 to focus on Beryl and Sapphire’s journey as they work together to protect the world. I am also interested to see how their relationship develops as they face new challenges and enemies.
I am also curious to see how Beryl and Sapphire will resolve the conflict between the human and demon worlds. Will they be able to find a way for the two races to live together in peace? After all, Beryl and Sapphire is one of the most adorable boys-love donghua out there, and we are simply excited to see how the story between them unfolds, isn’t it?
Big Firebird Cultural Media also returns as the animation studio for Beryl and Sapphire Season 3 this time, now, that’s even more amazing, especially knowing that the studio is also the production team behind the upcoming return of Lu Shu in Spare Me, Great Lord! Season 2 (Da Wang Rao Ming) which is slated to air on September 30. Now, that makes September and the succeeding months an exciting ride for every donghua fan.
Overall, I am very excited for Season 3 of Beryl and Sapphire. I think it is going to be a great season, and I can’t wait to see what new adventures await Beryl and Sapphire.
